Tasting notes
In the glass.
Medium intensity ruby colour. Beautiful nose with red berry and leather that is complementary to the luxurious cinnamon and cloves spiced palate laced with a cigar smokiness.
Bold tannins add to the robust and lingering finish.

Winemaking
How it is made.
Grapes were handpicked from our own farm, destemmed, crushed and transferred to tank where it underwent 48-hour cold maceration for gentle colour extraction. The wine was then inoculated and underwent three daily pumpovers.
After fermentation, the wine was not immediately pressed and was left on the skins for extended skin contact for 7-10 days. The wine was then pressed to French oak barrel for an 18–24 month maturation period.
